Mac Fairchild served in the Air Force for over 26 years with the last 7 years in positions of increasing responsibility,
culminating as the first Air National Guard Director of Plans and Programs (ANG/XP) within the National Guard Bureau.
As an active officer working in the National Guard Bureau he has gained the necessary insight and experience at the
highest levels into both components as well as the Air Force Reserve. Mac is an expert on how the Air National Guard's
acquisition and requirements processes work and is respected both inside the ANG and within the active component.
Additionally, Mac is an acknowledged expert on ANG force structure and manpower issues, as well as the political side
of the equation.
Currently, Mac is leading on-going efforts for Air Force Plans and Programs on Future Total Force (FTF)
integration efforts. He has developed an analysis method to support the Chief of Staff of the Air Force in
determining alternative ways to use the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve to support the Air Force mission.
Mac has the experience - from flying F-15s for the Air Force to - to providing force structure analysis to all levels
within the Pentagon - to advising clients for the Conaway Group on acquisition strategies.
